The purpose of this form is to facilitate matching for interviews between persons in the community that are seeking Home Health Aide services and the graduates of Encuentro’s Home Health program.
Our intent is to support the graduates in gaining employment that provides them with a decent wage to support themselves and their families.

EnCasa Care Connections has a recommended base rate of $22.50 per hour, beginning November 1, 2022, for Home Health Aide services.
Thank you for considering Encuentro’s Home Health Aide gradates! We are confident that our HHA graduates are well-trained and eager to meet your caregiving needs.
Encuentro is a nonprofit community-based adult education center supporting Latino immigrants. We offer a 15-week Home Health Aide (HHA) training two times per year. Following graduation from the training course, HHAs can participate in a variety of ongoing opportunities that Encuentro offers, including continuing education, business coaching, connection to work options and leadership roles in program and policy efforts. Encuentro’s Home Health program prioritizes education, economic opportunities and leadership development as three pillars essential to adequately preparing Home Health Aides for this complex and important career.
Typical home health services include some combination of the following:
- Help with daily activities like dressing, bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and shaving.
- Prepare meals and snacks. Accompaniment while eating.
- Give medication reminders and monitor medications.
- Check blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate and other vital signs, if needed.
- Light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Spend quality time such as playing cards and puzzles, gardening, and looking at photos.
- Provide transportation primarily to medical appointments, pharmacy, and grocery store.
